The thirteen unlucky years of Prohibition under the 19th Amendment decimated small local breweries – only the largest companies survived by crafting nonalcoholic products. When the 21st Amendment repealed Prohibition, the stewards of breweries dusted off the brewmasters manuals and recipes, beginning production again. However, the local breweries in each city were much slower to rebound.
For the past twenty years, however, homebrewing and microbrewing has seen a massive explosion of popularity. Flavors lost for a century are returning and the depth, complexity, and diversity of local flavors are once again intertwined in micro and craft breweries. At Twinlo, we offer many selections from these American mavericks from sea to shining sea.
